Description
Magnesium sheathing board, also known as magnesium oxide sheathing board, is a factory-produced inorganic building material that can replace traditional sheathing materials such as gypsum board, oriented strand board (OSB) and plywood. Composed of magnesium oxide and natural minerals (typically sourced from magnesite or seawater), it is formulated with additional reinforcing materials (e.g., fiberglass mesh), binders and other fillers. This high-performance material is well-regarded for its exceptional strength, excellent fire resistance and superior moisture resistance.
